Since 1967, when I start as a young wine-grower, my vineyards did not stop growing to represent today 65 hectares, located on the best hills of Premières Côtes de Blaye.
Average production per year is about 450000 bottles of Premières Côtes de Blaye Red and 25000 bottles of Premières Côtes de Blaye White.
Constant quality search and respect of "mother Nature" encouraged us to develop a demanding farming mode :
. Ploughing under vine rows
. Grassing in between the rows to restrict the vigour of the vines
. Thinning out the leaves to control rot
. Crop thinning to reduce yields so as to harvest concentrated and ripen fruits
Vinification is also an important step on the way for quality. Therefore our cellars are equiped with thermo regulation sets which allow us to both control fermentation temperatures and also boost the potential of the ripen fruits.
The wines are partly aged in oak barrels. We have about 600 barrels, renewed for 1/5th each year.
40 years experience allows us to develop an international commercial network : 50 % export, 25 % wholesalers and retailers, 15 % private customers, 10 % supermarkets
10 persons are running the estate with me :
5 vinegrowers,
1 vinegrower'chief,
1 master cellars,
1 person in charge of shipments,
1 commercial assistant,
1 accountant.
